The first time I used Daze... it felt like my insides were burning up. It was...

Not exactly. If something works... even if you hate using it, it's stupid not to take advantage of a tool. Especially if you want to survive.

I mean, I realized swiftly that Gaia basically belonged to me, and if I didn't act like it, I'd lose it. And... look at little Milord Sunshine. The only times I see him acting alert are when it's requisite of him.

It's not-not temptation.
But I'd liken it more to parsimony. I'd grown too used to not having to lift a finger to get anything done.
