[muffin is comfortable with casual nudity, but that sure doesn't mean he's immune to a strip tease. and not even just for the nature of the show, though that's certainly gotten his attention. there's theatre in it, as admirable as a dance or any other performance.
[ one shall note some faint-but-there tan lines, thanks to their recent community beach outing, and profoundly less fur than last time--
speaking of fur, actually. When he's almost done, down solely to wine-red stockings and a white button-up undershirt left fully unbuttoned to flutter around as he moves, Angel Devil does... pause, thoughtfully... before he reaches down to stroke at midair. From the point of contact, his long, silvery-violet tail starts to fade back into the visible spectrum.
It hangs low, occasionally doing slow left-to-right swings, as he sloooowly pushes down one stocking, eyes now carefully monitoring his audience for the first time in the show. He is considering something. ]
[muffin chirps a few happily surprised notes when Angel Devil's tail appears, like light applause for the unexpected reveal, like the the invisibility was itself another piece of clothing.
he chitters more loudly, watching the stocking sliiiiide down, when he glances up and accidentally meets Angel Devil's gaze]
[ he's successfully considered it. his adoring audience has egged him on. he's gonna do it. this is 1000% more exhilarating slash nerve wracking to do that every single other provocative-as-possible thing he just did for the last so-and-so minutes. ]
...Ee, hee, hee, hee, hee. That's right. The body's a canvas. [ the shirt's come off down to his elbows, finally, creating for some moments a look very much meant to be evocative of his earlier Rope Troubles after the ritual. ] And Iiiii.. am....
[ his tail curls around his thigh, the tight loop sliding down to take the other stocking with it, carrying it by a sliver once its off. ]
[ Mr. Masterpiece is practically glowing at the praise.

The familiarity of this room definitely keeps growing... he doesn't remember anything all that coherent. But laying his clothes down right in that spot, with Muffin in his periphery? Yup. Remember that part. ]
[Muffin hadn't started the water when they first walked in because he wasn't sure if angel devil would still want a bath after reading the letter, but now there's an extremely naked angel devil and that's gotta be for something.
he starts from his reverie and hurries to start the bath, laughing]
Is too beautiful a flower not to notice. Even if, um, turned out to have thorns last time.
[ he folds his arms over his chest, tail swishing with interest.
Muffin's lightly joking about the thorns and laughing. That's a sign. He likes that sign. Talking with him-- he feels like he's following after his own trail in time, from the words tumbling out of his mouth to the implication of time between past event and present.
He wonders how much he gets to keep. He wonders why this interesting thing between them is so... resilient, where entire days were washed away.
He draws over to Muffin's side, because it is a waste of an extremely naked Angel Devil to just be all the way over there the whole time instead of pointedly right there. He reaches into the tub, to splash lazily at the nice hot water... ]
...Every Rose has its thorns. [ splish splash ] But... I know I'd far prefer to only bare them with you when it's fun, not just because some demon said jump. I do remember we talked a little, about...

[turns around to sit on the edge of the tub as it fills, and reaches up to lightly preen angel devil. his other hand taps on angel devil's elbow (his hip was deemed Too Dangerous), barely even a tug, but a tacit request for him to step closer nonetheless]
I remember. You've... really had a lot of people telling you to jump.
[ the elbow tap! a wise choice. lean lean lean ♡ if you're going to preen over his feathers, he's started to pick up on what the good angles are.
The feathers Muffin had seen coming in with stress barring, that morning by the lakeside, have grown longer. The past might have fallen out of Angel Devil's memory, but the signs of it happening are all still there, farther along the shaft.
in a playful singsong, he says, ]
Woe betide, each and every, lord and lady~. That ever dreams to master me~.
[gives him a small purr when he leans over, and shifts his nails more like claws for better skritches. why not a scalp massage along with feather preening.]
Told me one story but um, it doesn't have an ending yet.
[ long hair means a lot of tension in that scalp means that's objectively rather pleasant. initially feels like a spot between his shoulder blades prickles, a little bit, too, but... it fades, as Muffin keeps going. ]
