Character Name: Kuja
Species: Genome
Canon: Final Fantasy IX / Dissidia Duodecim
Canon Point: Cycle 12, right after getting killed by Lightning.
Character Age: 24 + however long Dissidia has been happening for, it's... uh... indeterminate. No matter how long it's been, though, he's 24 physically. He has... always been 24, physically.

Character Appearance: Kuja is a tall (FFIX height chart says 7'1" but. Good lord that's kind of unreasonable and I usually play it as 6'7" for doorframe reasons), pale man with long hair topped by a feathery crest, an extremely androgynous mien, and a fluffy monkey's tail with banded, silver fur. He dresses in revealing or provocative clothes whenever possible.
Powers and Abilities: Kuja's a master of magic, adept with destructive, protective, and healing magic to a level where he's never needed to learn to defend himself physically. He's never used a weapon in his life. While he's already ridiculously strong, he's also capable of entering a temporary state called "Trance," caused by high-emotion, life or death situations, at which point he can toss around building-levelling spells like confetti. Trance is brief, capping out at ten minutes.
A notable example of a spell he looooves to use is Float, which lets him glide around like he's in Minecraft creative mode.
That's Kuja's unique skills as a sorcerer! Now here's the stuff that comes from being a weird space furry, aka Genome.
Genomes were conceived as new vessels for dead souls, and are capable of manipulating bodiless souls for this purpose, moving them around, taking them into their bodies, and even provoking them into the form of monsters. They're capable of telepathy, and are usually created with innate knowledge of things like language and all the other fun stuff that lets you skip inconvenient "developmental milestones." Kuja is no exception, having been made with the form of an adult if not the.. emotional maturity of one. He does not age.
He also has knowledge of Terran biotech, which is.. magical body horror mad science, and has shown some talent in adapting the theory to exciting new science crimes. I don't believe he can really make any of that stuff without magic, though, and he's not really interested in doing anything with that knowledge anymore.
What Did Your Character Wish For? He wished for an end to the endless cycle of battle he was trapped in, in favor of the goddess Cosmos, allowing her warriors to go free to go live their lives. As for what happens to the warriors of Chaos such as himself in that scenario.. sssssshrug emoji. He did not spare any thought to their fates. He sort of assumes they'd just die, since their lives are tied to Chaos...?
What Potion Did They Receive? Blue! You gotta learn to do a support role now, Kuja.
Did They Drink It? Yes.
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Kuja's closest bond is to his brother, Zidane, who is frankly the person he made his wish for. After everything that's happened.. at least Zidane ought to get to go home to his pretty princess, and leave his dead brother behind in the past where he belongs.
2. What are they most afraid of?
Being trapped with no hope of change. He already died far before his canon point, and any initial gratitude at having a chance to live after his expected oblivion faded when he realized what fresh hell he'd actually entered, in Chaos' service. He's already faced what was once his worst fear - death - and though he hasn't overcame it, he's.. well, laid down like a dog in the face of it, at this point, because he's tired.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Kuja is.. uh.. emotionally stunted. He quite literally never had a childhood, and basically cobbled together his personality and social skills from reading too many books. He's a mess at actually dealing with his feelings, and though he's good at predicting others' actions, he is lacking in true empathy. He sees the world in terms of arch-typical roles and is often confused when people don't act to whatever type he's allotted them.
Mentally he's very quick, but again, the lack of emotional intelligence has him sometimes miss things that are obvious to others. He has an immense well of self-hatred for his origins, and since his death in FFIX, his actions.
Physically he is completely incapable of using weaponry even if something really important were riding on it. He's not strong. Very likely he struggles with jars. You know how it is.
4. What would make them happiest?
In terms of happy - Kuja likes fine things, novel experiences, and theater. He doubts he'll ever get to see a play of any sort again, so it's kind of mundane, but... that would make him quite happy.
But 'happiest'....
...sometimes he dreams about seeing Gaia again, years on after that beautiful planet has had time to heal from the wounds he rent upon it... conceiving of a world absent his influence terrifies him, but in a way it's what he wants. He feels as if he did nothing good for that world. It would be better for the scars to vanish from sight.
(Really, if he ever had the chance to see Gaia after his death, he'd be surprised to find he had some small positive impact after all.)
It's... a pretty melancholic thing to want, but hey! Let's Happy Dream ☆ sometimes what makes you happiest is something that will also tear deeply at your heart.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
..To Kuja, there are people he sometimes meets who are either dragons or princesses, and he's enchanted of both. A dragon will challenge you, thrill you, keep you on your toes... you can't really trust yourself to a dragon, but it's fun to see how close you can come and still avoid the jaws closing in on you. Maybe it's even fun to take a little nick.
A princess doesn't necessarily need to be a woman, it's just the most concise word he has. A princess is a beautiful soul that's yet to taste the full body of the world, who can still look at things with wonder... like a bud about to bloom, he loves to coax them along their way. Of course it's fun to lead the (at least outwardly) innocent into temptation, who doesn't enjoy that? What is he BUT temptation!
Kuja's more used to dalliances and airy courtships full of lots of doing things and not a lot of actually knowing each other, but if he actually developed into Real Companionship with someone, he would literally never get over them. He does not make this easy, but he would be obsessed with you once you get there.
