• I'm going to verrry carefully try to keep Kuja from figuring out he died during the day(s) he lost time, because if he realizes he can come back from the specific kind of death he's afraid of, it'll toss the mini-memoria plot totally topsy-turvy
- celebrating Christmas because he wants presents :) no he doesn't know what a "Jesus" is
- for Valentine's Day It would be fun if the ic version of the Hot or Not list is going to escape containment somehow.
- in general what I'm trying to do with him in Austice is get him to calm down, make real friends for once in his life, and learn he can have a meaning in his life other than holding the fate of a planet in his hands. Positive growth arc
- eventually, very eventually, I think he should part ways with Queen Brahne's soul, and temporarily lose the ability to Trance. But he'll gain it back at some point to reflect how much he's grown as a person.
- current plan is to tap trance for himself the first time on vivis behalf........
Long version of all those ideas:
• most major is Mini-Memoria. It'll happen next year, February at the earliest I think? Anyway, it's going to be the moment Kuja genuinely, consciously lets go of his "take all of existence down with me" plan, and will be marked by him losing LV, because, uh, he's not willing to kill everyone who ever lived anymore. Tldr; he's going to try to open the way to Memoria again, fail, and totally drain himself to empty striving to do it wayyy past the point he knows it won't work.
• So... If I get approval the idea rn is a memshare event! I'm thinking of like, an ooc post where people donate memories they'd be cool with random people picking to see.
What Kuja's going to be doing in this event is "acting off his rocker," floating over the roof of the train station making his ominous orb, and ultimately draining himself to complete exhaustion to no avail.
• in January Kuja is going to die, just like his creator told him he soon would. Thru convoluted canon analysis I have decided this means his soul falls apart from a fault line Garland put in it, but since I want to keep playing my blorbo, he's going to wake back up either the next day or in a couple days, depending on how I'm vibing.
• WHILE kuja is busy being a wee bit dead, his body will still be alive. There's two options for what this means -- a) the other soul residing in his body takes control until he's alive again, or b) he wanders around as a creepy soulless doll, a la the other genomes in Bran Bal. I'm debating if weird empty Kuja will remember his life or not. I feel like yes, it's just the personality and emotions are all entirely gone..

• I would soooo prefer the Queen Brahne option because then we get weird shit like "Kuja's anima suddenly feels entirely different" / "his LV is suddenly only 10 now" / "the person thinking inside his head is ENTIRELY different suddenly" / no but for real he's acting entirely different now. He's FULLY CLOTHED. This is a whole ass other person.
- I'm trying to think of a way to have my cake and eat it too and do both options at some point or another ......

- going to drop dead (aka his soul breaks) for a bit in January and instead be limited edition Queen Brahne in a Kuja suit. Will have a few weird Not Himself days beforehand where he acts more like your typical soulless Genome..also...

• Those are the absolute set in stone things that will happen, but my big idea to make this fun for other people is to create a large field of effect where memories of characters in the game can be encountered. Ideally this would be big enough people who are just minding their own business can interact with it if the muns want.

• Weird ambitious corollary idea is that players could run a little puzzle room of a certain memory for a couple/few characters to encounter together and solve. Kuja would absolutely have one that's blocking the way to him. I have a draft of that written already dkfgkgj

Two (planned) solutions: Sit in chair, Destroy chair. Destroy chair and you get bonus dialog, but you just enter the same room again when you try to leave. Can't leave without someone sitting in chair. This Will Hurt A Lot but won't injure you.

• Mini-Memoria is Kuja's "big plan" he's always scheming about. It's dependent on him both going into Trance, and being able to fuck off to the train station before it ends (the place he's scouted that he feels would be easiest to break into the literal akashic fucking record from)
• the STEPS for enabling the big plan are 1) taunt things into hurting me and 2) don't die/get turned to stone/OHKO'd when they do that. That's why he's constantly trying to see how tough other characters/various obstacles in the game are. He's very very urgent about doing this because he's certain he's gonna drop dead any day now.
